In Seahorse Class each child is unique in their communication skills, physical needs, medical needs and learning styles. Therefore the children are taught through a multi-sensory approach enabling them to learn through taste, smell, touch, sound or sight. The children are given appropriate time to respond and repetition to consolidate their learning.
Seahorse Class approach their learning through the ImPacts curriculum. This is a more individualized curriculum that develops key skills through daily routines such as ‘Personal Care Routines’, ‘Snack Routines’ or ‘Arrival Routines’ which are the most frequent and personalised parts of their school day.
Seahorse Class provide a happy and enthusiastic environment in which the children learn to be confident, find their voice and be able to achieve.
